2026 A warm welcome for a 40th in Fiji

L ast morning cuddles for a while A morning at the Sheraton and then time for farewells. Crazy how much we had settled into the villa - there was stuff everywhere and hard to believe it could somehow condense down to the contents of the suitcases. Definitely going to miss this 24/7 stuck between our girls  There were no takers for an early morning swim - 😴 the collective commitment was to maybe a few more minutes of sleep, mind you, the early morning adventure upstairs for @Katarina with @Aunty Mindy and @Uncle Ian meant that maybe they were definitely fully awake. Last buggy ride, last taxi ride The  buggies arrived right on the dot of 11 for checkout and we assembled in the massive foyer and at this stage we definitely had no transport plan. @Mac approached one of the staff who was shepherding luggage into departure timeslots about transport to the airport. Ye p, my Nanny owns a crochet hook - a little fun for inside play Had a few goals today. Wanted to get out earlier. Needed to walk to explore beyond our villa precinct. Needed to be an early bird and have a booked plan for tomorrow so we don't miss out. And actually secure a dinner reservation somewhere. Thank goodness for @Mindy. I would have scored one walking tick on my list of to dos! But @Mindy was onto it all even before the early birds had time to chirp. Buggy cheer squad for golfers Until late afternoon this recount is all hearsay. Definitely under the weather for me so I bunkered down with a bucket, a glass of flat lemonade and eventually  some slices of green apple and salty chips. Thank goodness, almost 24 hours on the dot it was done.  I can report that it was the first overcast morning we have had. Still pleasantly warm, but all activities today were under grey skies. Didn't impact the golfers or the swimmers. Action continued. The buggy arrived (much to the delight of the baby) to transport @Anth and @Ian to the 9 hole course along with their personal cheer squad of @Mindy, @Bekah and @Katarina. A quick warm up in the driving range, a few donuts in the golf buggy as a farewell to the girls and they were off.  What a little helper! Tracking their progress in the APP.
